These Website Rules keep gdpilots.com useful, trustworthy and safe for everyone — Employers advertising pilot vacancies and the aviation professionals who come here to find them. They apply to everyone who uses the site and form part of our Terms and Conditions. Breaking them can lead to Content being edited or removed and to an Account being suspended or closed, without a refund.

1. General conduct

  • Use the site lawfully, honestly and respectfully.
  • Provide accurate information about yourself, your company and your vacancies.
  • Do not use the site to deceive, harass, threaten or harm anyone.

2. Rules for job listings

A good Listing is real, accurate and complete. When you post a vacancy:

Do:

  • Advertise only genuine, currently open aviation pilot vacancies.
  • Give accurate, complete details — the employer or operator, the role, the location or base, the aircraft type where relevant, and the key requirements.
  • Post one vacancy per Listing.
  • Make sure you are authorised to advertise the role.
  • Comply with equal‑treatment and non‑discrimination law: do not exclude or disadvantage candidates on the basis of protected characteristics such as sex, age, nationality, ethnic origin, religion, disability, or sexual orientation, except where a genuine, lawful occupational requirement applies.
  • Keep your Listing current, and close or remove it once the role is filled or withdrawn.
  • Provide a valid way for candidates to apply or make contact.

Don’t:

  • Post the same vacancy more than once, or flood the site with near‑duplicate or spam Listings.
  • Use misleading titles, fake or inflated salaries, “clickbait”, or bait‑and‑switch descriptions.
  • Charge candidates a fee to apply, or run “pay‑to‑apply”, deposit, pyramid, chain‑letter or multi‑level‑marketing schemes.
  • Ask candidates for money, payment‑card or bank details, copies of identity documents, or other sensitive personal or financial data as a condition of applying, or use a Listing to run a scam or phishing attempt.
  • Post roles that are not aviation pilot vacancies, unless we have expressly opened a category for them.
  • Advertise anything unlawful, or any role whose duties would be unlawful.
  • Include hidden keywords, off‑topic content, or advertising unrelated to the vacancy.

3. Rules for accounts

  • Keep one Account for your organisation unless we agree otherwise.
  • Register with your real name, company and position, and a valid work email.
  • Keep your details up to date.
  • Keep your password confidential and do not share your Account.
  • Do not impersonate another person or company, or misrepresent your authority to post.

4. Prohibited content (all users)

Regardless of where it appears on the site, do not post Content that is:

  • unlawful, or that promotes or facilitates unlawful activity;
  • hateful, discriminatory, harassing, defamatory, or that incites violence;
  • fraudulent, deceptive or misleading;
  • infringing of anyone’s intellectual‑property, privacy or other rights;
  • obscene, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate for a professional aviation audience;
  • malicious code, or links to malware or phishing pages; or
  • spam, chain messages, or unsolicited advertising.

5. Technical rules

  • Do not scrape, harvest, crawl or bulk‑extract Listings or other data, manually or by automated means, without our prior written consent.
  • Do not use bots or automated scripts to create Accounts, post Listings, or interact with the site at scale.
  • Do not attempt to bypass the account or payment gate, security measures, or any access controls.
  • Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, other Accounts, or our systems, and do not probe, scan or test the site’s security without permission.
  • Do not overload, disrupt or interfere with the site or its infrastructure.

6. Handling candidate data

If candidates apply to your Listing or contact you through details you publish, you are responsible for handling their personal data lawfully. Use it only for the relevant recruitment purpose, keep it secure, and comply with the GDPR. Do not use candidate data for unrelated marketing, sell it, or share it unlawfully. See our Privacy Policy and clause 11 of our Terms and Conditions.

7. Comments and other interactions

Where the site allows comments or other public contributions, keep them civil, relevant and free of spam or advertising. We may moderate, edit or remove contributions and restrict this feature at our discretion.

8. Reporting problems

If you see a Listing or any Content that breaks these Rules — a scam, a duplicate, a discriminatory advert, or anything unlawful — please tell us at crew@gdpilots.com with a link and a short description. We review reports and act where appropriate.

9. Enforcement

Where these Rules are broken, we may, at our reasonable discretion and depending on the seriousness: edit or reclassify Content; remove a Listing; issue a warning; suspend, restrict or close an Account; refuse future postings; and, where necessary, report the matter to the relevant authorities. Fees already paid are not refunded where Content is removed or an Account is closed for breaking these Rules. Nothing here limits any other rights or remedies available to us under the Terms and Conditions or the law.

10. Changes to these Rules

We may update these Website Rules from time to time. The current version, with its “last updated” date, always applies. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated Rules.
